Mobility at the 49th Annual U District StreetFair
The 49th annual U District StreetFair is coming up this weekend: May 19 and 20. Wow, 49 years of celebrating peace, culture and community!
This will be the first year for U District, Let’s Go and we have some fun activities planned and a lot to tell you about!
First off, we want to thank UW Transportation Services for partnering with us and lending us their famous Bike Wheel of Fortune! Stop by, take a spin, answer a mobility related question and win a prize! While you are here, you can learn about upcoming transportation opportunities and events and about our work in the neighborhood. There is a lot going on!
Find U District, Let’s Go at booth 164 in the red zone, the third booth from the corner of NE 45th St on the east side of the street. We will be right outside of the Wells Fargo Bank.
In addition to our program, there are a whole bunch of other transportation and mobility-related organizations and groups participating the U District StreetFair. Below is a list of our partners and where you can find their booths.
King County Metro Transit
Metro has a lot going on at its booth! In addition to playing Plinko for a chance at fun prizes, like fidget spinners and mini foam buses, ORCA To-Go mobile sales will be available to provide on the spot full-service ORCA card sales and assistance. Cash, checks, and major credit cards accepted for payment. Public Health Seattle King County will be there enrolling people in ORCA LIFT. ORCA LIFT is Metro’s reduced fare transit card for qualifying 19-64 year olds. ORCA LIFT cards come with $30 preloaded. See here to learn if you qualify. Find King County Metro Transit at booths 57 & 59 (green zone), on the west side of the street, about eight tents in from the corner of NE 47th St.
